Ag-Machinery Business Climate Attains a Better Level Than Before COVID-19 Throughout the EU!
According to the September results of the sectoral monthly Business Barometer survey conducted by CEMA -European Agricultural Machinery Association, It is noteworthy that the business environment index (on a scale between -100 and +100), which has been improving for a while, has reached -1 points, and although it is in the negative region, the markets have reached a better level compared to the period before COVID-19.
Considering the survey results, it is stated that the market index for current business has improved significantly as of July, and the signs of improvement in the past months after the first shock caused by the global epidemic are due to the decrease in pessimistic expectations for the future. On the other hand, the upward trend in the current business index, which returned to the positive region last month for the first time since last autumn, continues and the indicators for the next six-month period are above expectations. Furthermore, despite the downward trend in the markets (median: + 0%, arithmetic average: -1%), it is stated that no significant decrease is expected in the markets throughout 2020, and European industrialists foresee a further improvement in 2021 (median: + 3%, arithmetic average: + 3%).
According to the results reflected in the survey evaluations, the expectations of European industrialists in many countries continue to improve. Poland, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, and Scandinavia stand out among the most growing markets. The UK and Romania are reported as the two countries with the lowest confidence index. However, it is estimated that Romania will make a breakthrough in a short time. Together with Romania, Poland, and CIS countries, are among the regions with the highest investment needs.
