Insight Ag-Machinery Manufacturing Investments: 49 Projects Receive Incentive Certificate!
The Industry and Technology Ministry granted entrepreneurs 49 incentive certificates in January-June for investments in the ag-machinery sector totaling 368 million TL. 34 of these projects were placed other than Industrial Zones, while 36 investments were expansion projects and 12 projects were completely new.
As for the regional breakdown, Konya hosted 15 investments with a total value of 129.7 million TL. This was followed by Istanbul (3 projects with 38.1 million TL) and Adana (2 projects with 35 million TL). Over 496 people are expected to be employed in these projects when completed, according to ministry data compiled by Tarmakbir.
During January-June, the full range of machinery manufacturing took the lion’s share totaled 8.9 billion TL with 1,024 supported projects, while other projects were chosen from energy, services, mining, and agriculture sectors. When the investments are actualized, they are expected to create over 10,752 jobs. As a side note, machinery and equipment, expenditures had a share of 87 percent among the investment projects, and it was followed by building construction expenditures with 9,6 percent.
