Apply Now: Research Project Grants 17th Cycle!
The ministry of agriculture welcomes applications for projects working towards addressing the national goals to develop the technology in agriculture.
It will be prioritizing applications that can demonstrate that they are responding to longer-term progress for researchers based at universities, institutions of higher education or registered NGOs, trade bodies, commercial organizations with university-equivalent research capacity, to undertake an innovative and original research project.
The following institutions are eligible to apply:
a) Universities,
b) TUBITAK R&D sections,
c) Non-governmental and professional organizations,
d) Private sector organizations (excluding sole proprietorships and ordinary partnerships, those registered in the Trade Registry) are eligible to apply.
The fund remains open for applications addressing a wide range of R&D projects in a variety of contexts. Before making an application, applicants are advised to read the priority R&D Subjects specified in the website and the guide.
Grant size and rates according to the executive institution type are summarized below (Types of Institutions/Organizations to Apply, Grant Size (TL), Max. Budget Rate):
- Universities and TUBITAK R&D sections, 300.000 TL, 100%
- Non-governmental and professional organizations, 300.000 TL, 70%
- Private sector organizations (excluding sole proprietorships and ordinary partnerships registered in Trade Registry ), 3,000,000 TL, 70%.
Ag-machinery applications will be considered in:
a) Development of barn mechanization products and technologies in livestock,
b) Development of new products and technologies for the use of unmanned aerial vehicles in agriculture and forestry,
c) Development of variable rate spraying, fertilization, and irrigation systems,
d) Development of a domestic self-propelled sprayer prototype (24 – 36 m),
e) Peanuts, sesame, hemp, dry beans, lentils, onions, etc. development of harvesting-threshing machines,
f) Development of semi-autonomous or autonomous robots/robotic systems for use in spraying, irrigation, harvesting, hoeing, weeding, planting, and similar processes in agricultural systems,
g) Developing systems (irrigation system components, irrigation programming sensors, and software, digital systems, etc.) to increase the efficiency of irrigation water use.
