TARMAKBIR publishes a monthly report on tractor industry development in Turkey comprising production, registeries and exports of tractors in units. According to the latest report published in November 2014, tractor production, registeries in national market, and export figures continues to increase. Similarly, total production between January and October 2014 (first 10 month) has reached to 54,306 units, which is 18.6% larger than the corresponding period of 2013. If this increse trend for made-in-Turkey tractors proceeds, the year 2014 will be a record braking one amongst 2011 - 2014 period.

According to the official statistics, 5,647 tractors (2013 and 2014 models) registered in Turkey in September 2014, where this figure is 14.4% larger than the same month in 2013. Additionally, the total tractor registeries from January to Sebtember 2014 is 40,008 units, which is 14.8% greater than the same period of 2013. Taking a deeper look into the tractor registeries, it is seen that the province Konya is the leader followed by Aegean region (Denizli, Bursa and İzmir provinces), where the North and South East of Turkey have had the smallest shares of registeries.

The increment in tractor production of Turkey is not only a sign of growing national market, but also an indicator of the continued increase in tractor exports from Turkey to various parts of the world, e.g. North America, Europe and Middle East. Figures show that tractor exports reached to 1,660 units in October 2014. This is a remarkable growth in export by 50.4% compared to October 2013. The cumulative export figure for January - October 2014, as well, 21% larger than the corresponding term of 2013.

The growing tractor export figures of Turkey has been similarly observed in the total agricultural machinery exports (tractors and other agricultural machinery). According to the latest official statistics, Turkey enlarged its exports of ag machinery by 25.1% in January - September 2014 period compared to the same period in 2013, reaching to USD 549 million. Moreover, the unit value (value/kg) of ag machinery exported from Turkey rised by 7.8%, which shows made-in-Turkey ag machinery has been gaining importance and reputation in foreign markets.
