2014 ends in success for Turkish ag machinery industry
According to the economic evaluation report of Central Anatolian Exporters Union, total export volume of Turkish ag machinery industry (excluding tractor parts and accessories) has grown by 22% compared to 2013, reaching to 732 million USD. On the other hand, total import volume in 2014 decreased to 583 million USD, a 13% drop compared to 2013.
The report further indicates that, the unit value (USD/kg) of Turkish ag machinery exports increased by 7.8% compared to 2013. The 10 most important export markets in 2014 had been USA, Italy, Iraq, Algeria, Azerbaijan, France, Russia, Bulgaria, Iran and Sudan, those constituted 63% of the total export volume.
Turkish agricultural machinery industry ended the year 2014 in the 6th rank amongst 22 sub-industry categories of Turkey by means of total export volume. Moreover, it ranks 2nd in unit value increment of exported industrial goods.
